At the Edgar Allan Poe Historic Site learn about Poe’s literary interests and styles, experience his writing through narration or music, see rare books, and participate in hands-on programs.

At the Eisenhower National Historic Site, groups will have the chance to tour the place where 34th President of the US, Dwight Eisenhower and his wife, Mamie, lived before and after his presidency.

The Ephrata Cloister was constructed in the early 18th century and served as a religious community under its leader Conrad Beissel. Groups may watch a short film and see exhibits in the Visitor Center and have a guided tour of two of the buildings.

The Erie Art Museum’s collection of over 8,000 objects, with a particular focus on American ceramics, Indian bronzes, baskets, and other sculptural art, is a great choice for a unique art-immersion experience.

The Erie County Historical Society is an organization dedicated to the preservation, interpretation and presentation of the rich history of Erie and adjacent regions including Lake Erie and its maritime traditions.

See one-of-a-kind performances at the Erie Playhouse. The Playhouse offers school-time performances from October through May. Your group can enjoy clever re-tellings of beloved classics or laugh out loud at the rollicking adaptations of children’s books

The Erie Zoo & Botanical Gardens encompass a comprehensive zoo with animal exhibits including African black-footed penguins, white rhinoceroses, Amur tigers, sacred Ibis, black and white ruffled lemurs, reticulated giraffes, and many others!

Located in downtown Erie’s historic cultural district, ExpERIEnce Children’s Museum offers a safe space for groups of early childhood age to create, explore, and imagine at their indoor and outdoor exhibits.

Field trips to the Federal Reserve Bank of Philadelphia (also known as the Philadelphia Fed and Philly Fed), home to the first Bank of the United States, allow groups to step into the world of America’s financial system.

Visit the First National Bank Museum, one of the oldest historic sites in Lancaster County. The bank is located in two rooms of an 1814 Federal-style townhouse that was built for Columbia’s founding father John Wright, Sr.’s grandson.

The battle at Fort Necessity National Battlefield was the opening action of the French and Indian War. The Fort offers themes: George Washington and the French and Indian War, Mount Washington Tavern and the National Rd.

Fort Roberdeau features a reconstructed Revolutionary War stockade surrounding six log cabins, as well as an 1858 barn containing exhibits, an education center with hands-on programs, three nature trails, and picnic facilities.
