National Park Foundation
The National Park Foundation’s Open Outdoors for Kids Initiative grant help to provide access for 4th grade classes to experiential, outdoor experiences that promote physical and emotional health, civic engagement and long-term appreciation for nature.

NEA Foundation Student Success Grants
The National Education Association Foundation Student Achievement Grants have funded thousands of educators on a wide range of projects that improve student learning including educational field trips for K-12 grades.
ELIGIBILITY: Grants are available to current members of the National Education Association who are educators in public schools or public institutions of higher education.
American Battlefield Trust
The American Battlefield Trust strongly believes that battlefields are outdoor classrooms. The Trust’s Field Trip Fund provides funding and assistance to Nationwide K-12 teachers, who are planning field trips to Civil War, War of 1812, or Revolutionary War battlefields or related historic sites.
Barney Family Foundation
The Barney Family Foundation’s focus is mainly on early education and health research. Since the Foundation does not have a small grants committee, it has adopted a policy of making and recommending grants in amounts greater than one thousand dollars. Under The Environmental Education Grants Program, EPA seeks grant applications from eligible applicants to support environmental education projects that promote environmental awareness and stewardship and help provide people with the skills to take responsible actions to protect the environment. Kars 4 Kids
The Kars4Kids Small Grant Program is dedicated to supporting educational initiatives around the country, helping us impact more children. Grants typically range from $500-$2,000, depending on such factors as mission alignment and availability of funds. Our committee considers each application seriously. Due to the large number of requests we receive, it may take up to 4 months for you to hear from us with a determination.
Lockheed Martin provides grants for K-16 Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) Education for public schools. This includes Lockheed Martin’s K-12 STEM Education Initiative, Engineers in the Classroom, as well as STEM-focused curricular and extracurricular programs. Applications are accepted year-round. Evaluations are typically performed quarterly. Some grant applications may not be able to be considered until the next year’s budget cycle, particularly those received in the second half of the year. The Eagleton Institute of Politics at Rutgers University administers the State House Express, which can help offset transportation costs for classes visiting the New Jersey State House. Awards are up to $750, based on need.

Society For Science
The Society for Science’s STEM Action Grant program aims to bolster and support community-driven nonprofit organizations that are working to enhance the public’s understanding of science and to increase participation of underrepresented populations in STEM fields.
