Bennett Place is a museum and site of the last surrender of a major Confederate army in the American Civil War, when Joseph E. Johnston surrendered to William T. Sherman. Learn about military life.

Visit the historic site where George Washington Duke grew tobacco and started one of the largest American tobacco companies. The homestead offers guided house tours with a look at museum exhibits on the tobacco industry, the history of tobacco, and a 17-minute orientation film.

Historic Stagville is a plantation with buildings constructed from the late 18th to the mid 19th century. Guided tours will take students through the Bennehan House, the Holman House at Horton Grove and the Great Barn. 

Hub Farm is a 30 acre farm, forest, and aquatic educational center that provides experiential, outdoor learning for the greater Durham community in environmental stewardship, health and nutrition, and career development.

The Museum of Life and Science includes a two-story science center, one of the largest butterfly conservatories on the East Coast, and beautifully landscaped outdoor animal exhibits.

The Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University has a growing collection of contemporary artwork, and a permanent collection of over 5,000 years of Western art.

Housed at Judea Reform Congregation, the Rosenzweig Gallery presents exhibits of Jewish religious and creative arts and crafts, as well as original programs of Judaica, religious prints and books from the Rosenzweig Collection.

Schoolhouse of Wonder is a place where everyone can play, learn, and grow. Guided by its core values, their team of professionals mentor children ages 3-17 through nature-based outdoor adventures.
