Field Trips

Danbury is a thriving and diverse city located in Western Connecticut. It was settled by colonists in 1685, when eight families moved from what are now Norwalk and Stamford, Connecticut. The Danbury area was then called Pahquioque by its namesake, the Algonquian-speaking Pahquioque Natives. Today, Danbury features a variety of historic sites, museums and indoor and outdoor recreation and entertainment for school, scout, homeschool, and camp field trips. People learn in different ways—through hearing, seeing, touching, talking, or doing. Class trips can provide a multi-dimensional learning experience.
