The Akron Art Museum focuses on modern and contemporary art. The Museum collects work from 1850 to the present. Comprised of over 7,000 objects, the collection is home to a wide variety of media from across the globe, including sculpture, glass, paintings, photography, digital art, and more.

Akron Children’s Museum, where play inspires exploration, discovery, and problem solving with interactive exhibits, programs and special activities in science, social studies and S.T.E.A.M.

The Akron Zoo sits on 77-acre of which 35-acre are occupied with by habitats with themed sections from Asia to Africa, South America to North America.  The Zoo’s mission is to connect visitor’s life to wildlife while inspiring lifelong learning and conservation action.

Beech Creek Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve provides opportunities to interact with nature and educates and inspires visits to be good stewards of the environment.

The Blue Water Majesty Museum is a museum of model ships constructed by master carver Larry Pulka. These models are exact replicas of 18th century sailing ships, complete with deck nails and rigging just as it would have appeared over 200 years ago.

Groups can engage with the art on view at the AAM accredited CMA through educator-led tours and studio art workshops. Check out CMA From Home to look at the collection and explore some activities.

In Association with the Smithsonian Institution, The CCHP includes a museum of psychology that highlights artifacts, documents, films from the history of the human sciences. It is also home to the Archives of the History of American Psychology, including the personal papers of many important psychologists.”

The MAPS Air Museum is an aviation museum run by the Military Aviation Preservation Society. The museum holds more than 50 aircraft, most on loan from the U.S. Air Force or Navy for restoration.

Massillon Museum is a cultural hub where art and history come together. The Museum’s permanent collection contains over 100,000 items focusing on a collections of photography; costumes and textiles; china, glass and pottery; domestic appliances; and circus memorabilia.

The William McKinley Presidential Library and Museum is the presidential library of 25th U.S. president William McKinley. This one-of-a-kind presidential library incorporates a history museum, interactive science center, planetarium, and research library into a single adventure.

The National First Ladies Library & Museum preserve, promote and educate about the significant role of First Ladies of the USA and their contributions throughout history. We work collaboratively with the National Park Service and others to operate and promote the First Ladies National Historic Site.

The Wilderness Center educates people of all ages to inspire a love of nature, and conserves natural lands for the health and benefit of the community. It includes an interpretive building, astronomy education building, an observation tower, pier and picnic shelters.
