A drive-thru African safari, a petting area & prairie dogs are highlights of this 80-acre zoo. At this family-owned zoo in the rustic foothills of the Adirondacks, groups can discover over 500 interesting animals.

Housed in a 19th-century dairy barn, the Blenheim-Gilboa Visitors Center exhibits demonstrate how our power is made and how pumped storage is important to reliable electricity in New York State.

The Fenimore Art Museum houses American art including folk art, landscapes from the 18th and 19th centuries, history and genre painting, and the renowned Collection of American Indian Art.

At Gobbler’s Knob Family Fun Park, enjoy the 18 hole lighted Miniature Golf, 9 hole Par 3 Golf Course, 12 station lighted Driving Range, snack bar and ice-cream parlor. Pavilion rental for parties and events.

At the Iroquois Indian Museum, Iroquois culture and diversity are explored through the use of art. Visitors will learn about the Iroquois Creation Story and relationship to the natural world.

Joseph L. Popp Jr. Butterfly Conservatory is s 3,000 sq. ft. indoor tropical garden located in Oneonta, NY. Groups can explore among tropical, free-flying butterflies and birds from all around the world.

Landis Arboretum comprises hundreds of acres, 40 of which are developed with plantings of trees, shrubs, and herbaceous perennials from around the world.

Groups can try on replica uniforms, sleepover in the museum’s Hall of Fame Gallery, and more at the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.

SUNY Oneonta’s A.J. Read Science Discovery Center is a hands-on museum to connect visitors to the joy and power of the scientific process through authentic, interactive exhibits, and to serve as the indispensable Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math (STEAM) resource.

The SUNY Oneonta Planetarium regularly hosts educational groups for planetarium shows. The planetarium gallery contains many beautiful, high-resolution prints of images from the Hubble Space Telescope.

The Connect-Kids-to-Parks Field Trip Grant Program (Connect Kids) is designed to connect students in New York State with nature and history. Each grant provides reimbursement of up to $40 per student (and $80 for Special Education students) for field trips to state and federal parks, forests, historic sites, fish hatcheries and outdoor recreation areas.

ELIGIBILITY: School districts, charter schools, municipalities, and select not-for-profits in New York State.

At the Farmer’s Museum, groups can take a themed tour that explains what it was like to grow up in the mid-19th century, learn about simple machines, and explore career options of the 1840’s.
