The Betsy Ross House is a landmark in Philadelphia purported to be the site where the seamstress and flag-maker Betsy Ross lived when she sewed the first American Flag.

Carbon County Environmental Education Center is located on 70 acres of woodland, wetland and meadow habitat. The center features a system of boardwalk trails as well as two indoor classrooms replete with elegant nature displays.

Part of the Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh, the Carnegie Museum of Art features American and European art works from the 16th century to the present.

Center for the Performing Arts at Penn State offers a School-Time Matinee series where school, Scout, and homeschool groups get an opportunity to view professional theater through an educational lens.

Central Pennsylvania African American Museum preserves and maintains a collection of objects, artifacts, arts, papers, photographs, etc. that document and describe the history and culture of African Americans in the new World.

Two 18th-century homes and a modern Visitors Center at Chadds Ford Historical Society offer students, homeschoolers, and campers the opportunity to experience what life was like 300 years ago.

The Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF) offers many opportunities for groups to get outside and learn about the wonders of the Chesapeake Bay region. Groups can participate in the Susquehanna Watershed Education Program.
