Located in the Capital District, Five Rivers Environmental Education Center is a living museum comprising over 450 acres of fields, forests, and wetlands.

The Forest Park Visitor Center is operated by New York City Park’s Urban Park Rangers. Visitors can pick up park information see small exhibits and animal displays. Park Ranger led tours available.

The Forsyth Nature Center is an outdoor learning center that offers more than two dozen animal exhibits and beautiful gardens that foster a connection to the natural world.

The Fort Delaware Museum of Colonial History shows the daily life of pioneers in the Upper Delaware Valley in 1754. Visitors learn about settlers’ lives through exhibits, crafts, costumed demonstrations, and tours.

The Fort Rickey Children’s Discovery Zoo is a special kind of zoo where children are the focus and can use their senses to explore, manipulate and discover.

The Fraunces Tavern is an 18th-century tavern that was an important meeting place before, during, and after the Revolutionary War. Visitors can tour the museum and see period furnishings, paintings of the War, historic architecture and special exhibits.

At Freedom Crossing: The Underground Railroad of Greater Niagara, groups will discover the history of the secret passage that led many slaves to freedom through exhibits, which details the history of the slaves that traveled to Canada through the Buffalo Niagara area to escape slavery.

The Frick Collection is renowned for its Old Master paintings, and its preservation of Renaissance European sculpture and decorative arts. The Collection include paintings, sculpture, works on paper, porcelain, medals, textiles, furniture, and silver.

Garvies Point Museum and Preserve is a center for research about LI geology and archaeology. View exhibits illustrating Long Island’s glacial history, and explore Native American ways of life.

At Gateway National Recreation Area’s Floyd Bennett Field, youth groups learn about local ecology and native animals. Day programs range from kayaking and sailing to nature excursions. Overnight experiences are available for groups in 4th -8th grade.

This National Memorial is the resting place of Ulysses S. Grant and his wife, Julia. Tour the Memorial to learn about architecture, the Civil War, and Grant’s life and impact on American society.
