Abescon Lighthouse, which overlooks Abescon Inlet is at 171 feet, the tallest lighthouse in New Jersey and third-tallest masonry lighthouse in the country.

Acorn Hall is an 1853 Victorian Italianate mansion where visitors can view the authentic furnishings and art pieces owned by the families that lived there, as well as other prominent Morris County families of the era.

Actors Shakespeare Company is committed to providing unique opportunities for young people to experience Shakespeare  as a living experience. Students may attend a weekday 10am performance. Each performance is followed by a talkback with the actors and director.

Adventure Aquarium features one-of-a-kind exhibits with more than 8,500 aquatic species throughout two million gallons of water. Students, scouts, homeschool and camp groups connect with amazing aquatic species.

The African Art Museum is dedicated to the arts of Africa, with permanent collections including painting, costumes and decorative arts, exhibited on a rotating basis.

The Alice Paul Institute, inside the home of Alice Paul’s birthplace and was created to further the legacy of Paul’s work for gender equality. Offers in-person field trips, virtual field trips and outreach programs.

America’s Grow-a-Row is a farm that strives to donate fresh produce to “food deserts”. School, scout, and homeschool groups will receive vital lessons about agriculture, food insecurity, and healthy eating.

Discover the history of the labor movement! The Pietro and Maria Botto House is where 15,000 workers gathered in the Paterson Silk Strike of 1913.

Students visiting the Barclay Farmstead can explore the period rooms of the 16-room farmhouse with costumed interpreters, and engage in 19th-century activities.

Batsto Village, a part of the Pinelands National Reserve can be traced back to 1766, where visitors can discover more than 200 years of American History.

Bergen County Zoological Park, on 18-acre site, is a great place to see wildlife from North, Central, and South America, buffalo and horses, as well as more exotic animals.

Brookhollow’s Barnyard is a family-run petting farm. Come spend the day interacting with various small (and some big) farm animals and help feed them.
