Paterson Museum’s collections includes local archaeology, history, and mineralogy. The museum relates to the history of Paterson industry by showing its evolution as a machinery and textile center, the “Silk City”.

See Shakespeare’s plays come to life at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey dedicated to Shakespeare’s canon and other classical masterworks.

The Sterling Hill Mining Museum was once one of the world’s richest zinc ore deposits. Visitors can now enjoy the museum, go inside the mine itself, see a drilling and blasting demonstration and the fluorescent “Rainbow Tunnel”.

At Thomas Edison National Historic Park, step back in time and tour Thomas Edison’s home and laboratory, where one of America’s greatest minds changed the course of modern technology.

The Tinicum Rear Range Light, opened in 1880, is still active for navigation on the Delaware River. Tours start at the neoclassical pavilion, where guests ascend the 112 steps to the lantern room.

Embark on an all-day maritime adventure! Located on 40 acres, the Tuckerton Seaport & Baymen’s Museum is a historical, interactive recreation of life on the Jersey Shore 100 years ago.

At Tulpehaking Nature Center, explore the Abbot Marshlands with the center’s guided walks and educational programs for groups. Groups can explore their surroundings during hikes of Mercer Meadows, Baldpate Mountain, and other areas.

The Updike Farmstead, a former working farm, is now a museum including the original farmhouse, wagon shed, corn crib, garage and garden sheds.

As the state’s largest contemporary art institution, the Visual Arts Center of New Jersey hosts work by local and national artists. Past exhibits have featured illustration, collage, mixed media, painting, installation art, and other media.

Washington Crossing State Park is a 3,575-acre state park which includes the site of George Washington’s crossing of the Delaware at Johnsons Ferry on December 25, 1776.
