The Port Penn Interpretive Center offers displays and programs that explain the folklife of the historic wetland communities along the shores of the Delaware.

The Seaford Museum has thousands of local artifacts beginning with the area’s natural resources, the Nanticoke Indians, and to the 21st century.

The St. Jones Reserve, on the north shore of the St. Jones River, and includes brackish-water and salt marshes, farmlands, and meadows.

The Star Hill Museum is housed in the African Methodist Episcopal Church, which was established circa 1863 and played a part in the Underground Railroad.

The Grand Opera House has been delighting spectators with the finest live entertainment and a variety of educational programs for all ages.

Trap Pond State Park was created in the late 1700s to power a sawmill used in harvesting the bald cypress. Trap Pond became one of Delaware’s first state parks in 1951.

Treasures of the Sea is a maritime museum that features treasure from the Spanish Ghost Galleon, the Nuestra Seniora de Atocha. This 17th century ship sank during a hurricane with millions of dollars of treasure off the coast of Key West, Florida.

TS Smith & Sons is an 800 acre family-owned farm and the oldest apple, peach, and nectarine operation in Delaware. Features Pick-Your-Own, special events, and a pavillion that’s perfect for hosting group outings.

The University of Delaware Museums include the Mechanical Hall Gallery, Mineralogical Museum in Penny Hall, Old College Gallery, and the Special Collections Gallery in Morris Library. Gallery spaces display has rotating exhibitions.

The land that is today known as White Clay Creek State Park includes parts of the boundary line made famous by surveyors Mason and Dixon during Colonial America.

The route of the original Wilmington & Western Railroad was laid in the early 1870s. Soon after, men and machines went to work moving goods and passengers through the Red Clay Valley.
