Reconnect with nature at the Houston Arboretum & Nature Center’s 155-acre sanctuary. Programs allow visitors to explore plants, logs, pond life, and the interactions between different parts of the environment.

The Houston Ballet teaches school groups about ballet through its matinee performances, dance classes, studio performances, and outreach programs. Also family friendly performances.

The Houston Museum of Nature Sciences has 3 floors which consists of the Burke Baker Planetarium, Wortham GIANT Screen Theatre, Cockrell Butterfly Center and a fascinating variety of permanent science exhibit areas.

The Houston Museum-African American Culture explores the culture of Africans and African-Americans in Houston, the state of Texas, the southwest and the African Diaspora.

The Houston Symphony educates students through student concerts customized to early childhood, elementary, middle school, and high school-level learners. Also family friendly performances.

The Houston Zoo’s facilities include an aquarium, tropical bird house, reptile & amphibian house, world of primates, small mammals, the children’s zoo and an education center. 

The International Museum of Cultures is to provide opportunities for enhancing the understanding, involvement, and appreciation of contemporary world cultures.

The International Waterlily Collection has the world’s foremost waterlily collections, this garden contains hybrids & old favorites. Take a self-guided tour with your group to see the variety of waterlilies.

At the Jersey Barnyard visitors pet, feed, and see farm animals while knowledgeable staff tells you interesting animal facts, then visit the dairy where you can milk a cow and view the milking facility.

Jollisant Farms offers visitors a variety of outdoor activities. Visit to pick produce and fish in the catch-and-release pond, or schedule a tour of the farm.

Keystone Heritage Park and El Paso’s Desert Botanical Garden consists of a 52-acre park that preserves, protects and study the Keystone Wetlands, the Archaeological site about the Archaic Period civilization, and the El Paso Desert Botanical Garden.

The Kimbell Art Museum collection includes works of art from European, Asian, African, and ancient cultures. Groups might see classical Greek and Roman artifacts and pottery, paintings and textiles, prints, Medieval art, and much more.
