The George Lomas Center seeks to deepen the understanding of the American Civil War and the greater story of the United States, support the community in exploration of the past and facilitate learning and exploration for all ages.

The Mattress Factory is a museum featuring room-sized galleries of contemporary “art you can get into.” Housed in a former Stearns & Foster mattress warehouse, the museum has a variety of permanent and changing exhibits.

Nature and art come together at the Ned Smith Center for Nature & Art. Named after wildlife artist, naturalist and writer Ned Smith, the center is located on 500 contiguous acres of hardwood forest, meadows, streams, mountainside, and trails.

Experience over 170 years of coal mining history at the No. 9 Coal Mine & Museum! Take a 1600′ train ride into the mountain, then walk 600′ on a guided tour of the world’s oldest continuously operated deep Anthracite coal mine.

Take a trip on the Oil Creek & Titusville Railroad (also known as the OC&T) “through the valley that changed the world” and discover the place where oil history began.

Located in the Allegheny Mountains, Old Bedford Village will give students, scouts, homeschoolers, and campers a fun glimpse into the lives of 18th and 19th-century Pennsylvanians.

Oregon Dairy offers fun, educational group tours of our beautiful family farm and/or Market that are great for students, homeschool groups, camps, and scouts.

Visit the Pennsylvania State Capitol in Harrisburg for a tour of the Main Rotunda, Senate Chamber, House of Representatives, Governor’s Reception, and Supreme Court.

The Pennsylvania Youth Theatre educates, enriches, and entertains youth through live theatre. Students of the theatre are cast in professionally produced musicals throughout the year.  

Visit Peter Wentz Farmstead, a preserved 18th-century Pennsylvania German farmstead recently restored to reflect its appearance at the time of the American Revolution.
