Field Trips

The National First Ladies Library & Museum preserve, promote and educate about the significant role of First Ladies of the USA and their contributions throughout history. We work collaboratively with the National Park Service and others to operate and promote the First Ladies National Historic Site.

The National Museum of the Great Lakes is a museum in the Toledo Maritime Center, a heritage location on the banks of the Maumee River. The museum offers a variety of educational programs for all ages.

The AAM accredited Air Force Museum is the oldest and largest military aviation museum in the world. Programs incorporate flight simulation, aerospace, and much more. Take a virtual tour.

The National Underground Railroad Freedom Center is a museum based on the history of the Underground Railroad. The center also pays tribute to all efforts to abolish human enslavement and secure freedom for all people.

The Ohio Bird Sanctuary is a haven for native birds, nature preserve, and living museum. Our team is dedicated to caring for and rehabilitating Ohio native birds, protecting natural habitat, and creating opportunities for people to engage with nature.

The Ohio Craft Museum is a program of Ohio Designer Craftsmen, presenting five major exhibitions each year, as well as focus exhibits and a rotating display of the permanent collection. In addition, the museum houses the Craft Research Library and offers educational workshops.

The Ohio History Center is a history museum and research center and is the primary museum for Ohio’s history. It is also the headquarters, offices, and library of the Ohio History Connection. Their mission is to spark the discovery of Ohio’s stories. Also, part of center is the living history experience at the Ohio Village.

The Orton Geological Museum is located at The Ohio State University, part of the School of Earth Sciences. At the Museum, visitors explore rocks, minerals, and fossils from Ohio, from around the world, and from outer space!

The Rockefeller Park Greenhouse (RPG) is a City-owned botanical garden and greenhouse is situated on four acres and features a variety of specialty plant collections, seasonal floral displays, and colorful theme gardens.

A Smithsonian affiliate, the Springfield Museum of Art offers inquiry-based guided tours and art-making workshops to school and community groups, as well as family visits.

The 618-foot-long Steamship William G Mather Museum, a restored 1925 Great Lakes bulk freighter, once the flagship of the Cleveland-Cliffs fleet. Now served as a floating maritime museum operated by the Great Lakes Historical Society.

Cincinnati’s home for art, Taft offers free docent-led tours to school groups, family programs, and more, as well as a video highlighting items in the collection.
