The Riverhead Foundation for Marine Research and Preservation’s mission is to preserve and protect the marine environment through conservation efforts including education and research.

Sag Harbor Whaling and Historical Museum features collections and exhibits that highlight local artists and the boating industry from the 19th century, when New York became one of the busiest northeast ports.

South Fork Marine Education, offered by Cornell Cooperative Extension, focuses on diverse marine topics, as well as protecting and enhancing our marine environment.

The Southold Indian Museum is dedicated to the cultural preservation of Long Island’s Native Americans, by helping to increase public understanding through objects and oral history.

Staller Center for the Arts is a unique hub of activity offering world-class, live performances and outstanding entertainment conveniently located in the center of campus at Stony Brook University.

The Suffolk County Farm and Education Center—a real working farm in action! The Farm’s mission is to provide hands-on learning to school, scout, homeschool and camp groups with themes in agriculture, animal sciences, history, STEM, healthy living, and life skills

At the Suffolk County Marine Environmental Learning Center, groups learn about Long Island marine life, including scallops, clams, oysters, and horseshoe crabs.

Sweetbriar Nature Center is on 54 acres of varied garden, woodland, field and wetland habitats on the Nissequogue River. The Center focus is on natural science education.

At the Animal Farm Petting Zoo, young groups can interact up-close with farm animals, birds, reptiles, and more. Feed and pet some of the hundreds of animals the zoo adopted through their rescue program.

The Holtsville Ecology Site and Animal Preserve includes a nature preserve and ecology center, featuring Buffalo, Bobcats, Eagles, ecology exhibits and tours, free compost, greenhouses, picnic area.

Thomas School of Horsemanship is located on 33 beautiful acres, with 6 barns, 9 riding rings, several picnic areas, and much more, offering groups a variety of activities for class and scout trips.
