The American Folk Art Museum explores the art of the self-taught, from the 18th century to the present. It attempts to understand folk art through the unconventional paths and experiences of those who create it.

BAM, or the Brooklyn Academy of Music, offers much more than musical performances. Groups will be enchanted by the multi-arts center’s engaging theater performances, films, comedy shows, and visual art.

As your group visits Battery Urban Farm’s vegetable farm, forest farm, and oyster restoration stations, they will get hands-on lessons in sustainable farming techniques as well as New York City’s native plants, animals, and insects.

Bayard Cutting Arboretum consists of a collection of conifers. Contained within the collection are several trees which, regionally, are the largest of their species. There are opportunities to observe a broad range birds and and small wildlife.
