At the New Windsor Cantonment State Historic Site from mid-April through October visitors will find costumed staff demonstrating musket drills, blacksmithing, military medicine and other 18th century skills.

New York Chinese Cultural Center exposes groups to traditional Chinese performing arts through performances, workshops, and lectures. Performances/workshops can be tailor made to fit any curriculum or special needs.

The NYC Fire Museum, the official FDNY museum, preserves and presents the history of the fire service of NY and provides fire prevention and safety education. Temporarily closed.

Both located in City Hall Park, New York City Hall and the Tweed Courthouse are must-see architectural marvels with interesting histories.

The New York City Police Museum gives groups a look at the history and traditions of the largest police force in the U.S. and its role in NYC history.

At the New York County District Attorney’s Office groups can get an introduction to the criminal justice system with criminal court tours.

Actively engage in history at the New-York Historical Society, New York’s first museum, where groups explore U.S. history through a New York lens.

Students, scouts, homeschoolers, and campers can take a tour of the New York State Capitol—the seat of government for New York State—and walk the hallways where history was shaped.

Home to New York’s governors and their families, the New York State Executive Mansion is filled with artifacts, furnishings, and art, as well as visual and written documents.

The New York State Museum is a center of art, science, and history dedicated to exploring the human and natural history of the state. Its collections rank among the finest in many fields and total more than 16 million scientific specimens and one million cultural objects.

The New York State Zoo at Thompson Park teaches guests about conservation, education and scientific study. Natural-world experiences are created through up-close encounters with animals that only reside in New York State.

Housed in an historic 1936 subway station, the New York Transit Museum is the nation’s largest museum devoted to public transportation history and includes exhibitions, tours, and educational programs.
