Brookside Gardens is a 50-acre public display featuring aquatic, azalea, rose, Japanese-style, rain, and children’s gardens, a butterfly exhibit, and a woodland walk. Its two conservatories offer year-round enjoyment.

At Butler Farm visitors explore seasonal activities from strawberry bloom tours in the spring to pick-your own pumpkins in the fall to cut your own Christmas tree in December.

At Calleva, groups will  learn about farm life, energy, water cycles, farm animals and forestry in a variety of environmental education workshops.

The Calvert Marine Museum combines pre-history, natural history, and maritime heritage to tell a unique story of the Chesapeake Bay.

At the Carrie Murray Nature Center, visitors explore Baltimore’s diverse natural environment in the meadows, marshlands, and wetlands. Nature programs focus on watershed, stream conservation, recycling, plant and tree identification.

See a real, working farm during the spring, fall, or winter and enjoy seasonal activities, hayrides and farm animal visits at Chapel Hills Farm and Nursery. In the Fall pick-your-own pumpkins and in December make your own door sway.

Preserving America’s early transportation history, the Chesapeake and Ohio Canal began as a dream of passage to Western wealth. Today it endures as a pathway for discovering historical, natural, and recreational treasures.

The Chesapeake Bay Environmental Center is a 510 acre wildlife preserve that showcases pristine habitat and restoration efforts. Activities at the environmental center include birding, kayaking, hiking, and geocaching.

The Chesapeake Bay Maritime Museum explores the history, environment, and culture of the entire Chesapeake Bay region. Its campus includes a floating fleet of historic boats, 12 exhibition buildings, and changing special exhibitions.

The Chesapeake Biological Laboratory Visitor Center exhibits highlight the health of the Chesapeake Bay, research, and an oyster reef community aquarium.

The Chesapeake Shakespeare Company lets students unlock the magic of Shakespeare’s words with 110-minute matinee professional performances for schools. Also family friendly performances.

The Children’s Playhouse of Maryland’s performances are youth-oriented shows like Mary Poppins, James and the Giant Peach, Jr., and the Addams Family, performed by actors under the age of 18!
