Field Trips

The Muse Knoxville is a children’s science museum offering field trips with hands-on exhibits & activities, plus play spaces,  a planetarium and a STEAM program.

The Parthenon, at Centennial Park, is the re-creation of the Parthenon and the statue Athena, as well as an art museum with 63 paintings by 19th and 20th century American artists.

The Theatre Memphis offers the classic story of Ebenezer Scrooge’s for the perfect holiday field trip. The Theatre also has”Showagon” an outreach program to schools during the year.

The Vanderbilt University Fine Arts Gallery has 4-7 exhibitions each year. We welcome groups from the community and local schools for self-guided and guided tours.

Walden Farm offers agricultural education, farm animals and life was on the farm in years past. Activities include hayride, with farm animals, straw and corn mazes, and pumpkin picking.

The Wither’s Collection & Gallery has historically important photos honoring civil rights & black history, by Ernest Wither, an African-American photojournalist.

The Wolf River Conservancy provides free environmental education programming to K-12 students in the Wolf River Watershed, in Shelby County Schools, and throughout the Mid South.

The Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame offers education programs for K- 5th grade students in the subjects of math, science, language arts, social studies, and physical education.

Zoo Knoxville is a 53-acre zoo home to about 800 animals.Their education connects with wildlife and wild places around the world with tours and hands-on workshops.
