AHA! A Hands-On Adventure features an indoor play park with 60+ interactive exhibits for children, an outdoor nature playscape, and STEAM programming.

The Akron Art Museum focuses on modern and contemporary art. The Museum collects work from 1850 to the present. Comprised of over 7,000 objects, the collection is home to a wide variety of media from across the globe, including sculpture, glass, paintings, photography, digital art, and more.

Akron Children’s Museum, where play inspires exploration, discovery, and problem solving with interactive exhibits, programs and special activities in science, social studies and S.T.E.A.M.

The Akron Zoo sits on 77-acre of which 35-acre are occupied with by habitats with themed sections from Asia to Africa, South America to North America.  The Zoo’s mission is to connect visitor’s life to wildlife while inspiring lifelong learning and conservation action.

Tours at Oberlin College’s AMAM incorporate Visual Thinking Strategies and close examination of art. The museum is AAM accredited. View its virtual resources.

The American Sign Museum in Cincinnati, Ohio, preserves, archives, and displays a collection of signs. The museum also displays the equipment utilized in the design and manufacture of signs.

Field Trips at the Beck Center incorporate different art forms and hands-on experiences in visual arts, theater, music, and dance. It is committed to creating unique art experiences with performances, education opportunities, community outreach programs, and free art exhibitions.

Beech Creek Botanical Garden and Nature Preserve provides opportunities to interact with nature and educates and inspires visits to be good stewards of the environment.

The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum is affiliated with the Ohio State University library system. It houses the world’s largest collection of materials related to cartoons and comics, including original art, books, magazines, journals, comic books, and newspaper comic strip pages and clippings.
