The Skyscraper Museum invites visitors to learn about architecture, urban design, and the ways the skyscraper has changed life in New York City. Current and past exhibits have explored neighborhood architecture, historical buildings, skyscraper photography, early skyscrapers, and much more.

With its 28 buildings and 14 botanical gardens, Snug Harbor Cultural Center and Botanical Garden is known as a place where history, architecture, agriculture, art, and education come together.

Preservation Long Island (previously the Society for Preservation of Long Island Antiquities – SPLIA) celebrates the cultural heritage of Long Island by preserving historic buildings and artifacts.

Interact with the large-scale sculpture exhibitions and multimedia art installations at Socrates Sculpture Park. Groups can take a self-guided or guided tour of the contemporary art pieces in the  park.

Learn about creating more sustainable urban environments with Solar One. Take part in the Green Design Lab program or visit Stuyvesant Cove Park. Using hands-on projects, boosts visitors’ environmental knowledge, creative thinking, and problem solving skills.

South Fork Marine Education, offered by Cornell Cooperative Extension, focuses on diverse marine topics, as well as protecting and enhancing our marine environment.

Discover “where New York begins” through the South Street Seaport Museum’s tall ships and gallery programs, sailing trips, and walking tours.

The Southold Indian Museum is dedicated to the cultural preservation of Long Island’s Native Americans, by helping to increase public understanding through objects and oral history.

Springdale Farm has a petting zoo that’s home to barnyard critters like horses, cows, pigs, sheep, ducks and rabbits. The farm has been growing and selling fresh fruits and vegetables.

Staller Center for the Arts is a unique hub of activity offering world-class, live performances and outstanding entertainment conveniently located in the center of campus at Stony Brook University.

Located on the grounds of Sailor’s Snug Harbor, this children’s museum is surrounded by gardens and a large outdoor play space. Learning is made fun and interactive through hands-on programs, exhibits, and themed activities.

With a reptile collection that is one of the best in the world, the Staten Island Zoo houses over 1,500 animals of nearly 300 species of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, and invertebrates on an 8 acre campus.
