The American Guitar Museum is a former farmhouse and home to countless musical instruments on display including one of Les Paul’s original Gibson guitars and an 1840 La Cote guitar.

At the Animal Farm Petting Zoo, young groups can interact up-close with farm animals, birds, reptiles, and more. Feed and pet some of the hundreds of animals the zoo adopted through their rescue program.

Groups can enjoy learning about various aspects of Bronx history and culture with The Bronx County Historical Society’s tours and programs.

Visit The Cider Mill to see traditional cider-making and the taste of old-fashioned, fresh-pressed cider. Experience the natural goodness of pure cider and all the old-fashioned goods that complement its flavor on a visit.

The Connect-Kids-to-Parks Field Trip Grant Program (Connect Kids) is designed to connect students in New York State with nature and history. Each grant provides reimbursement of up to $40 per student (and $80 for Special Education students) for field trips to state and federal parks, forests, historic sites, fish hatcheries and outdoor recreation areas.

ELIGIBILITY: School districts, charter schools, municipalities, and select not-for-profits in New York State.

At the Farmer’s Museum, groups can take a themed tour that explains what it was like to grow up in the mid-19th century, learn about simple machines, and explore career options of the 1840’s.

The Holtsville Ecology Site and Animal Preserve includes a nature preserve and ecology center, featuring Buffalo, Bobcats, Eagles, ecology exhibits and tours, free compost, greenhouses, picnic area.

Bring your group the Jewish Museum, one of the oldest Jewish museums in the world, with a collection of nearly 30,000 works reflecting multiple aspects the Jewish experience over the past 4,000 years.

Watch the students of The Juilliard School put on a variety of musical concerts, dance, and drama performances throughout the academic year.

The Met Cloisters is a castle-like museum with surrounding gardens, devoted to the art and architecture of medieval Europe. Constructed in the 1930s, the structure borrows from four medieval French abbeys.
