Overlooking the Merrimack River and near the entrance to Parker River National Wildlife Refuge, the Joppa Flats Education Center offers unique educational opportunities for visitors of all ages.

Located on the shoreline of Nantucket Harbor, the Maria Mitchell Aquarium displays local Nantucket species and is an excellent place to learn about the amazing sea life around the island.

Located on the peninsula at historic East Point in Nahant, the Marine Science Center is the marine research and educational facility of Northeastern University.

The facilities at MASS MoCA allow it to feature all forms of art including music, sculpture, dance, film, painting, photography, theater, as well as new genres that defy easy classification.

The Merrimack Repertory Theatre is the professional theatre of the Merrimack Valley. Committed to contemporary voices and new plays, the theatre produces seven works, including several world premieres, each season and student matinees.

The Michele and Donald D’Amour Museum of Fine Arts has a collection of American, Asian, and European paintings, prints, watercolors and sculpture.

Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary is Mass Audubon’s oldest, encompassing protected forests, fields, and wetlands. Diverse hiking trails and a red maple swamp boardwalk provide countless opportunities for exploration.

The Museum of Fine Arts is one of the most comprehensive art museums in the world with over 500,000 works of art ranging from Egyptian to contemporary. Groups enjoy exciting docent-led tours and activities, as well as a self-guided tour option. 

Permanent exhibits at the Museum of Science include a virtual tour of Acadia National Park, a butterfly garden with exotic plants, Wind Lab energy production, a 65-million-year-old triceratops fossil, an exploration of the Milky Way Galaxy, and more.

The New England Aquarium is home to thousands of aquatic animals – from California Sea Lions to giant Pacific octopus, to African penguins.

Norcross Wildlife Sanctuary comprises approximately 8,000 acres of wooded hills, lakes, and streams maintained by the Norcross Wildlife Foundation whose purpose is the conservation of wildlife.
