Graue Mill and Museum, the only operating waterwheel grist mill and homestead in the Chicago area, is dedicated to maintaining a bridge between past and present.

At the Greater Saint Louis Air and Space Museum, learn about the world of aviation through activities and aircraft exhibits. The Museum focuses on all aspects of aerospace history, preserves and displays historic air and space craft.

The Herbert Trackman Planetarium is dedicated to continuing its tradition of outstanding astronomical instruction and entertainment. Their planetarium has a 30 ft diameter dome and a new OmniStar Digital planetarium projector.

Immerse your students and scouts in authentic history with a visit to the Illinois Amish Museum. After watching an 18-minute video, groups can see permanent exhibits about Anabaptist history, Amish history and culture.

Ever since moving the capital from Vandalia to Springfield, the city has been home to many Illinois governors. Group tours of the mansion can be booked through the Springfield Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB).

The Illinois State Museum examine hundreds of years of change in both the household life and physical geography of Illinois. Their exhibits focus on the state’s environment, Native American life, and objects and stories from pioneer life, the Industrial Revolution, and the 20th century. 

The Illinois State University Planetarium seeks to provide a popular form of enriching entertainment, and serves as many as 25,000 people a year. They offer live and taped performances, as well as skyline programs.

The Jane Addams Hull-House Museum serves as a dynamic memorial to social reformer Jane Addams, the first American woman to receive the Nobel Peace Prize, and her colleagues whose work changed the lives of their immigrant neighbors.
