Field Trips

The Charles F. Hagar Planetarium at San Francisco State University shows are live and interactive. We show the night sky as it is seen from Earth and tell the audience about the things they can see there. Shows adjust to the needs and interests of each group.

The Charles Paddock Zoo is home to hundreds of animal species from around the world. Many of the zoo residents are part of globally managed programs to preserve animals and their habitats.

The Children’s Creativity Museum offers hands-on, multimedia arts and technology experiences designed to build creative confidence in children 2-12 years.

Over 150 hands-on exhibits and programs in the sciences, humanities, arts, nature, and health that spark curiosity, creative and critical thinking, problem-solving, and confidence.

Chinese Historical Society of America is a mall museum exploring the Chinese immigrant experience in the U.S. through photos & artifacts. Educational programs include in-depth exploration, while utilizing Chinatown as an educational learning space.

The Colton Area Museum, formerly known as the Colton Carnegie Library, which once served as a library, is now a museum that showcases the rich history and culture of the Colton area.

The Computer History Museum is a museum of computer history. The museum presents stories and artifacts of Silicon Valley and the information age, and explores the computing revolution and its impact on society. 

The Conservatory of Flowers is a greenhouse and botanical garden that houses a collection of rare and exotic plants in Golden Gate Park. The Conservatory of Flowers offers self-guided and guided tours to explore the rainforest with the Tropical Trekkers! 

With a focus on contemporary art made from craft media and processes, Craft Contemporary presents dynamic exhibitions by established and emerging artists and designers.

The Crocker Art Museum is a fine arts museum that features the world’s foremost display of California art and is renowned for its holdings of European master drawings and international ceramics. 

CuriOdyssey is a science museum and zoo for children and families where visitors see wild animals up-close and play with kid-friendly science exhibits.

The de Young Museum is an art museum that showcases the museum’s priceless collections of American art from the 17th through the 20th centuries, Textile arts, and art of Africa, Oceania, and the Americas. Part of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco.
