The California Hall of Fame honors individuals and families who embody California’s innovative spirit and have made their mark on history. The hall and its exhibits are housed in The California Museum.

The California Historical Society represents the environmental, economic, social, political, and cultural heritage of the entire state. Their knowledgeable docents guide visitors through the exhibits.

The California Living Museum primary focuses are plants and animals that are native to California, specifically Kern County.

The California Museum, home of the California Hall of Fame, engages, educates and enlightens people about California’s rich history, its diversity and its unique influence on the world of ideas, innovation, art and culture.  

The California Route 66 Museum is an Interactive Museum with over 4500 Sq. Ft. of floor space in such settings as a 50’s diner from the time of early pioneer trails and railroads in both historic and contemporary significance.

The California Science Center features hands-on exhibits and inquiry-based education programs. Features major exhibit areas: World of Life, Creative World, Ecosystems and Air and Space.

The California State Capitol is the seat of the Government of California. The building houses the chambers of the California State Legislature, made up of the Assembly and the Senate, a museum with exhibits along with the office of the governor. 

The California State Mining and Mineral Museum is a museum in the state park system of California, and interprets the state’s mineral resources and mining heritage.

The California State Railroad Museum features 21 restored locomotives and railroad cars. Exhibits show how the influence of railroads changed American society, influencing travel, commerce and daily life.  Railroad excursions available.

The Cartoon Art Museum has something for everyone—from comic strips, comic books and anime to political cartoons, graphic novels and underground comix. Tours and workshops available

The Cayton Children’s Museum offers 21,000 square feet of discovery-based exhibits and immersive play connecting to arts, to the world. The Museum is a place where children experience the transformational and lifelong benefits of abundant, creative and purposeful play.

Chabot Space and Science Center is a center for science learning featuring interactive exhibits, planetariums, a large screen theater, hands-on activities and three powerful telescopes.
