The mission of the National Liberty Ship Memorial is to restore, promote and operate the Liberty Ship, SS Jeremiah O’Brien, as a living museum.

SuihoEn, The Japanese Garden’s education component consists of teaching about reclaimed water and its uses as well as Japanese symbolism and culture.  We have docent-led as well as self-guided tours available.

Sutter’s Fort State Historic Park founded by a Swiss immigrant, John Sutter. He received a land grant from the Mexican government and used the land to build an agricultural establishment. Special events and school programs are held monthly.

The Beats were a collective of writers, artists, and thinkers in 1950s San Francisco. The Beat Museum is dedicated to carrying on the Beat’s legacy and being a resource on how one person’s perspective can have meaning to many.

The Cheech Marin Center for Chicano Art & Culture is part of the larger Riverside Art Museum. The center is focused on the exhibition and study of Chicano art from across the United States.

The Contemporary Jewish Museum makes the diversity of the new perspectives where Jewish culture, history, art, and ideas thrive through innovative exhibitions and programs that educate, challenge, and inspire.

At the San Bernardino Valley College. their Planetarium is where students, curious types and the community come to learn about our planet, the Solar System and the stars.

The Huntington Library, Art Museum, and Botanical Gardens offers a programs in literature, art, and science. In-Person and Virtual tours of its library, museum and gardens are available.

The Institute of Contemporary Art is a contemporary art museum. It is an independent and non-collecting art museum that exhibits the work of local, national, and international contemporary artists.

The Leland Stanford Mansion State Historic Park is a historic mansion and California State Park, which serves as the official reception center for the Californian government and as one of the official workplaces of the Governor of California.

The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens, formerly the Living Desert Museum, is home to over 500 animals representing over 150 species and a desert botanical garden located in Palm Desert.

The garden property includes canyons, wetlands, coastal bluffs, and a closed-cone pine forest. The Gardens has become a haven for bird watchers with the list of bird species now at more than 180.
