The Cable Car Museum contains historical and explanatory exhibits on the San Francisco cable car system. The Museums houses a collection of historic cable cars, photographs, mechanical displays.

The San Francisco Fire Department Fire Museum & Safety Learning Center houses one of the largest collections of historic fire department memorabilia on the west coast. This small, yet important SF museum is run by volunteers.

Located in the Fisherman’s Wharf neighborhood, San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park offers visitors the sights, sounds, smells and stories of Pacific Coast maritime history.

The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art is one of the largest museums of modern and contemporary art. The Museum’s collection includes painting, sculpture, photography, architecture, design, and media arts.

The San Francisco Railway Museum celebrates San Francisco’s rail transit history, focused on exploring the positive impacts streetcars and cable cars have made on the quality of urban life in this great city.

San Francisco Zoo is home to more than 2,000 exotic, endangered, and rescued animals in 100 acres of majestic and peaceful gardens.

The premier modern and contemporary art museum. It balances socially relevant traveling exhibitions and engaging shows drawn from a collection of more than 2700 works that reflect the city’s rich diversity to its hallmark innovative ethos.

The Santa Ana Zoo at Prentice Park is a 20-acre zoo with over 120 different species and 350 individual animals focusing on the animals and plants of Central and South America.

The Santa Barbara Botanic Garden is a 78-acre botanical garden, containing over 1,000 species of rare and indigenous plants. The purpose of the Garden is to display California native plants in natural settings. 

The Santa Barbara Zoo is home to 146 species of mammals, reptiles, birds and insects. More than 500 animals are exhibited in open, naturalistic habitats.

Sequoia Park Zoo inspires conservation of the natural world by instilling wonder, respect and passion for wildlife. Features animal exhibits include a walk-through aviary, a Barnyard, a North American river otter and a new Redwood Sky Walk, and more. 

At the Shipley Nature Center, students will explore the nature center and learn about natural science and/or local Native American culture. Tours  include birding, butterfly and hummingbird gardens, walking trails, and interpretive center.
