San Diego Children’s Discovery Museum has hands-on educational indoor & outdoor interactive educational exhibits and programs focusing on science, art, and world cultures.

San Diego Chinese Historical Society & Museum’s mission is to educate and inspire by preserving and celebrating the richness of Chinese art, history, and especially Chinese-American culture in San Diego.

At the San Diego Firehouse Museum, visitors will see firefighting equipment and memorabilia dating back to the late 1800s. Firefighting’s rich tradition and heritage live on in the San Diego Firehouse Museum.

The San Diego History Center tells the diverse story of the region-past, present & future. Educates and enriches the community, preserves the history and heritage of the region.

The San Diego Model Railroad Museum is a model railroad 27,000 sq. ft exhibit. It is the largest such indoor exhibit in North America, and one of the largest in the world.  The museum offers a variety of STEAM learning opportunities for youth groups

The San Diego Museum of Art renowned collections include Spanish and Italian old masters, South Asian paintings including the Edwin Binney 3rd Collection of Indian paintings, and 19th and 20th century American paintings and sculptures.

The San Diego Museum of Natural History contains information about natural history from all across the world, but the primary focus of the exhibits is on the history and biodiversity of the San Diego area.

The San Diego Zoo is 100 acres with naturalistic habitats and home to more than 3,700 rare and endangered animals representing approximately 660 species and a prominent botanical collection. 

The Cable Car Museum contains historical and explanatory exhibits on the San Francisco cable car system. The Museums houses a collection of historic cable cars, photographs, mechanical displays.

The San Francisco Fire Department Fire Museum & Safety Learning Center houses one of the largest collections of historic fire department memorabilia on the west coast. This small, yet important SF museum is run by volunteers.

Located in the Fisherman’s Wharf neighborhood, San Francisco Maritime National Historical Park offers visitors the sights, sounds, smells and stories of Pacific Coast maritime history.
