Museum of Contemporary Art is dedicated to collecting and exhibiting contemporary art, comprising roughly 7000 objects, and offers  a diverse history of ground-breaking, historically-significant exhibitions.

The centerpiece of Think Watershed is the Marine Science Floating Lab Program, which offers a 3-hour cruise through the Long Beach or Los Angeles Harbor, where students participate in hands-on, marine-science learning activities.

The Travel Town Museum Foundation offers guided instructional tours led by a knowledgeable docent which includes a ticket to ride on the miniature train that encircles the museum grounds.

Engaging youth and the school community in immersing and learning about the natural environment is core to TreePeoples work. Programs focus on environment and includes service learning projects.

The UCLA Planetarium shows includes a special topic, a current night-sky show, and (weather permitting) a telescope viewing. The content includes currently visible stars, constellations, planets, and other astronomical phenomena. Host both in person* and virtual shows.

White Point Nature Education Center and Preserve’s education programs help children understand the beauty and significance of the Palos Verdes Peninsula’s natural areas and empower them to play a role in its preservation.

Bordering the San Gabriel River, this 400-acre sanctuary of riparian woodland, features four lakes, including many plants and animals native to wetland communities and the Whittier Narrows Nature Center that offers tours and hands-on activities for school and youth groups.

The William O. Douglas Outdoor Classroom and the Sooky Goldman Nature Center was formed in order to connect inner city youth with California’s natural resources. It is surrounded by 605 acres of natural open space, which includes a 3-acre wildlife pond, and shady grassland meadows.
