ABOUT

The Phillips Collection

The Phillips Collection is home to more than 4,000 works, from French Impressionist painting and American modernism to contemporary artwork. Paintings by Renoir, Rothko, Bonnard, O’Keefe, Van Gogh, and Lawrence are among the many works that fill the museum. The museum is housed inside the Duncan and Marjorie Phillips house, an 1897 Georgian Revival-style house. Phillips gradually expanded the building to include more galleries, and a modernist wing was added in 1960. Groups can enjoy an array of arts programming and tours.
