IN-PERSON FIELD TRIPS

The museum provides students with a variety of exciting, hands-on museum classes relating to science, technology, engineering, and math. Students can use Augmented Reality (AR) to explore Mars, see demonstrations of basic rockets, try on space suits, and more. Shows in the museum’s Catholic Health Sky Theater Planetarium allow students to explore the solar system and the night sky. Special discounts are available during off-peak seasons. Classes are aligned with all learning standards. Outreach Available.

Led by museum educators, all programs use hands-on demos to promote the museum’s philosophy of inspiring and educating while entertaining. In addition to our portable Planetarium, we can also bring museum classes such as Kites, Mission to mARs, Mars by Remote, Physics at Play, Living in Space, Find a Flight, Code A Drone, and How Does It Fly directly to you. Outreach programs for schools are age-appropriate and designed to address NYS Learning Standards.

The Cradle of Aviation joins in NASA’s support of Girls and Boy Scouts as part of the overall goal of engaging scouts in NASA missions and STEM (science, technology, engineering, and mathematics) subjects. All of the museum’s programs, led by screened, certified merit badge counselors, have been developed to meet this goal. we offer programs for every rank of Girl, Cub, and Boy Scout – from the youngest Daisy and Tiger Scouts through our Gold and Eagle Scouts.
