ABOUT

Iron Hill Museum

Housed within a schoolhouse built in 1923, this museum offers programs on wildlife, archaeology, and natural history. Groups will learn about the natural history of Delaware through the museum's collections of rocks, taxidermy, and even artifacts from the Lenni Lenape. The "Please Touch" wall makes this even more personal, by allowing guests to touch the exhibits! Tours are available, and field trips allow groups to stay in the museum, go on a nature walk, or visit an archaeological site. The earth science program allows groups to spend the entire afternoon rock collecting at the top of Iron Hill Park.
