The Young People’s Concerts presented annually by the Austin Symphony Orchestra reach more than 30,000 Central Texas fourth, fifth and sixth graders. These concerts introduce young people to classical music.

Austin Zoo assist animals in need through rescue, rehabilitation and education. Located on 15 acres of land, the Zoo features over 350 animals of more than 100 different species.

At the Barrington Plantation, visitors experience the sights, smells, and sounds of the 19th century. Interpreters, dressed in period style clothing, help visitors better understand what life was like 150 years ago.

Spend a fun and educational day on the 118-acre farmstead at the Barton Hill Farms. In the fall, visitors can enjoy the corn maze and pumpkin patch. In the Spring, learn about pollinators, how our spring crops grow, and life on the farm.

Barton Warnock Visitor Center presents an archeological, historical, and natural history profile of the Big Bend region. Discover how the history, geology and landscape have shaped the cultural heritage of the region

Visit the Battleship Texas, the last remaining battleship that participated in both World Wars. Tour the ship and view the engine room, medical facilities, sleeping quarters, weapons, and more.

One of the largest conservatories with a 23.5 acre garden, a veritable sanctuary of flora, the Beaumont Botanical Gardens offers a Horticulture Center, Native Plant Center, Japanese garden, modern rose garden and 9/11 Memorial Garden.

The Bishop’s Palace, also known as Gresham’s Castle, is an ornate 19,082 square feet Victorian-style house offer teachers and students a large variety of TEKS aligned field trips focusing on history, math, and science.
