Citizen Potawatomi Nation’s Cultural Heritage Center’s interactive exhibits tell a narrative, beginning with Citizen Potawatomi oral traditions, thru early ways of life, conflict and recent history.

Citizen Potawattomi Nation Eagle Aviary houses eagles rescued from the wild that are injured and cannot be fully rehabilitated. They are taken care of for the remainder of their lives at this facility.

The Comanche National Museum and Cultural Center is a small, free museum with many interactive exhibits about Comanche culture, history & art. The Museum offers many exciting opportunities for learning in the museum. 

Edmond Historical Society & Museum tell the story of stories of Edmond, its history, people and culture. Beside the exhibits, the museum has a Children’s Learning Center.

The Five Civilized Tribes Museum in Muskogee, Oklahoma, showcases the art, history and culture of the so-called “Five Civilized Tribes”: the Cherokee, Chickasaw, Choctaw, Muscogee, and Seminole tribes. 

Forest Heritage Center Museum houses antique forestry tools and 14 large dioramas with narration that cover Prehistoric Forests, Caddo Indians, Papermaking, Lumbering, and Forest Appreciation.

The Fred Jones Jr. Museum of Art’s collection highlights Native American Art, French Impressionism, 20th century American art, art of the Southwest, contemporary art, Asian art and a hands-on section for children.

Gilcrease Museum houses the world’s largest collection of art of the American West, as well as from Central and South America. For Children, their Kravis Discovery Center is an interactive collection of the early history of the Americas.

Har-Ber Village Museum, a pioneer-era village, has exhibits reproductions & collectibles from the mid-1800s to the early 1900s. Explore their hands-on activities, and nature trails.

The Historic Harn Homestead Museum, an outdoor & indoor living history museum, has hands-on activities on Pioneer Life including the Farmhouse, Barn and Schoolhouse programs.

Meet barn animals, see friendly reptiles and exotic birds on a field trip to Hochatown Petting Zoo. Barnyard animals come up to visitors for a pet or a handful of food.

The Honey Springs Battlefield Visitor Center’s exhibits and artifacts tell the history of the of the Civil War in Indian Territory. There are more than 1,000 acres to enjoy hiking and area wildlife.
