Randall’s Island Salt Marsh & Freshwater Wetlands explores the natural surroundings. Using magnifying glasses, binoculars, fishnets, and traps, groups can investigate the many animals and plants.

The history of farming on Randall’s Island dates back to the 17th and 18th centuries. Most of the land became a public park in the 1930s, and today Randall’s Island Urban Farm is used for agricultural education.
