The Simmons Arboretum on 10 acres, is home to rustic walking trails, with well-market native trees and plants, and wildlife that inhabit this natural setting.

The Smith Robertson Museum and Cultural Center is dedicated to increasing understanding of the historical experience and cultural expressions of people of African descent thru exhibits & artifacts.

The African American Military History Museum focus is on African American contributions to the United States military. The museum building was originally constructed as a USO Club for African American soldiers.

The Crosby Arboretum contains 64 acres in its interpretive center, plus over 700 acres in seven additional natural areas, sheltering over 300 species of indigenous trees and shrubs.

The Emmett Till Historic Intrepid Center which is also known as the E.T.H.I.C. Museum houses educational information about the past atrocities in hopes to make a brighter future.

The Jackson Zoo boasts an animal collection representing over 200 species and nearly 380 individual animals that provide glimpses of native wildlife from around the world.

The Medgar and Myrlie Evers Home National Monument was the home of African-American civil rights activist Medgar Evers at the time of his assassination. Guided tours by appointment.

TrainTastic Model Railroad Museum has a LEGO(R) model displays, interactive layouts to operate, outdoor garden & themed railroad displays like Jurassic Park and riding trains.

The Tupelo Buffalo Park and Zoo on 210 acres with 260 animals includes a range of exotic animals, a reptile exhibit, petting zoo, playgrounds, and a Chickasaw Indian Village.

University of Mississippi Museum is an art museum that encompasses Greek and Roman Antiquities, American Art, Folk Art and local artists. Schedule a tour and/or activity.

Vicksburg National Military Park preserves the site of the American Civil War Battle of Vicksburg. The Visitors Center offers a movie, exhibits and an orientation to the park. The Park is also the site of the USS Cairo and Museum.

Walter Anderson Museum of Art focused on the life’s work of American master Walter Anderson, whose works includes drawings, watercolors, oil paintings, carvings, murals, and decorative arts.
