Victoria Mansion is a Portland landmark distinguished for its architecture and extraordinary, original interiors. It’s among the most important historic homes of the nineteenth century anywhere in the nation.

The Viles Arboretum 224 acres is a botanical garden and arboretum. Their Mission is “to promote the knowledge and appreciation of Maine’s trees and other flora by offering opportunities for education and recreation.

The Waponahki Tribal Museum preserves the Passamaquoddy Tribal culture and traditions with exhibits of Maine Native tools, baskets, beaded artifacts, photos, arts and crafts and displays depicting the day-to-day lifestyle of yore.

The Washburn-Norlands Living History Center preserves the heritage and traditions of rural life in Maine’s past. The Norlands’ offers 90-minute; half-day; and 24-hour live-in programs for school, scout and homeschool groups.

During the academic year, the Waterville Opera House offers a selection of performances that will meet the curricular, financial, and scheduling needs of area classrooms and home-school groups.

The Wells Reserve protects hundreds of acres of “living laboratory” and maintains education facilities that include a teaching laboratory, exhibit areas, a barn classroom and a Forest Learning Shelter.

The Wendell Gilley Museum celebrates the life and work of Wendell Gilley, a pioneer in the field of decorative bird carving.  The Museum always features substantial and changing exhibits of bird carvings by Wendell Gilley.
