BAMPFA, the UC Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive, is the visual arts center of the University of California, Berkeley. 

The Big Bear Alpine Zoo is a zoo in Big Bear Lake. It is one of two Alpine zoos in the United States. It specializes in rehab and release of local Alpine species and also has a permanent collection of animals in their zoo.

The Bonita Museum & Cultural Center houses the Bonita Historical Society and over 2,000 objects connected the region. The largest museum in South Bay San Diego dedicated to documenting the art, history and culture of the Sweetwater Valley.

The Botanical Building plantings include more than 2,100 permanent plants, featuring fascinating collections of cycads, ferns, orchids, other tropical plants and palms. The Botanical Building also presents some of the Park’s vibrant seasonal flower displays.

The Bowers Museum’s permanent collection includes more than 100,000 objects, and features areas of pre-Columbian Mesoamerica, Native American art, the art of Asia, Africa, and Oceania, and California plein-air painting.

At the Butterfly Farms’ 3000 square foot Vivarium (butterfly free flight house), they study interactions of native butterflies in a unique ecosystem. In their classroom, visitors can study metamorphosis and teach conservation, study interactions of native butterflies in a unique ecosystem.

The Cabot’s Museum’s mission is to promote and preserve Cabot Yerxa’s legacy of cultural respect, education, art, community, and the desert habitat.

Cabrillo Marine Aquarium interprets both the physical processes of oceanography and marine biology of Southern California by use of displays and educational programs for the public. Fee: Suggested contribution.
