Fort Gaines Historic Site

Fort Gaines on Dauphin Island, Alabama established in 1821. Where the famous quote, “Damn the torpedoes. Full speed ahead!” during the Battle of Mobile Bay. Tours by soldiers in period uniform bring history to life including cannon firing demonstration.
