The Playcard Environmental Center fosters a specialized outdoor learning environment for students related to plants, animals and natural sciences. Visitors experience first-hand the inter-relationships of living things.

Sewee Visitor and Environmental Education Center introduces visitors to the natural history of South Carolina’s lowcountry and its unique ecosystem.

The South Carolina Forestry Commission protects, promotes, nurtures, and enhances the forest lands of South Carolina both on-site and in class. Standards-based outdoor environmental education programs are available.

Table Rock State Park is a 3,083-acre park at the edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains, and home to Pinnacle Mountain, the tallest mountain in the state. Visitors may enjoy cabins, a campground and two lakes.

The Sustainable Carolina Garden produces organically grown foods while regenerating soil and building biodiversity within the community. Visitors learn about how to make fresh, local produce part of their everyday lives.

Trail Blazer Survival School & Adventure teaches basic and advanced outdoor wilderness survival skills such as shelter building, firecraft, and navigation.

Waccamaw National Wildlife Refuge encompasses a diverse habitat including a blackwater river swamp, alluvial river floodplain, forested wetlands and longleaf pine ecosystems.
