ABOUT

Munnell Run Farm

The Munnell Run Farm is a sprawling outdoor classroom featuring 163 acres of cropland, woodland, pasture, and riparian forested wetland, operated by the non-profit Munnell Run Farm Foundation – their mission is to make the Farm a destination where people of all ages and abilities can find inspiration in nature, agriculture, and local history. Groups will learn about agriculture on the farm and the ecological systems in the surrounding area with hands-on curricula that allows students to sow seeds and observe how grain travels from crop to pizza crust! Younger groups are introduced to life on a farm by means of a wagon ride and meet-and-greet with various friendly farm animals. Other programs involve learning about food webs, raw and processed farm items, wetlands, soil, and various ecological issues.
