FIELD TRIPS

A variety of programs are available. Students can study natural history, forest and pond ecology, wildlife and more. Other programs focus on environmental and historical issues such as pollution, renewable energy, biodiversity, and learn about sustainability. Other programs include hikes, the teams course, high ropes, orienteering, nature crafts, and planetarium shows.

Sharpe Reservation

The Fresh Air Fund’s Sharpe Reservation is more than 2,000 acres with ponds, streams, and hiking trails in the woods. Groups can also experience environmental education and outdoor adventure based programming. Educational programs range from ecology and planetarium programs, to outdoor living skills and team building. Facilities include heated lodges, summer cabins, a full-service dining hall, and athletic courts. Residential and day trips are available.

Let your scouts discover The Fresh Air Fund’s Sharpe Experience as they explore the outdoors. Programs are available in crafts, environmental education, astronomy, and more. Sharpe Reservation offers Girl Scout Badge Weekends each spring and fall. These allow Girl Scouts of all grade levels to participate in fun and educational activities, while completing badge requirements. Camping opportunities are also available for service units.
