Dinosaur State Park & Arboretum

Dinosaur State Park and Arboretum features more than 500 Early Jurassic dinosaur footprints preserved in place inside the museum, as well as interactive exhibits that highlight dinosaurs, evolution, and Connecticut geology. Visit the arboretum to see Mesozoic Era plant families that existed when dinosaurs roamed the planet. Currently, there are over 200 different plant varieties in the collection. Recent plantings include trees and shrubs from the Cretaceous angiosperm families. Groups will also see junipers, Japanese umbrella pines, willow oak trees, Eurasian sycamores, Alaskan cedars, yellow-groove bamboo, Himalayan pines, Douglas firs, thyme, and many others.
