Brooklyn Historical Society

Explore BHS' collection of documents, artwork, and artifacts that bring to life the everyday experiences of Brooklynites from the past to the present. A collection of paintings depicts Brooklyn's landscape through different eras, while portraits from the historic collection depict prominent New Yorkers. Other past and current exhibits have included a look at Brooklyn’s social and political movements, the history of Prospect Park, and a series of black-and-white photographs by David Attie.
