Carolina Pride Pastures is an alpaca farm featuring huacaya alpacas. The farm specializes in farm guided tours and educational activities.

The Charles Pinckney National Historic Site honors Charles Pinckney, a principal author and signer of the United States Constitution. The 28-acre remnant of his coastal plantation, tells the story of a “forgotten founder” and his life.

Serving South Carolina’s Lowcountry, the Charleston Gaillard Center provides cultural, educational performing arts experiences for middle and high school groups.

Charleston Stage offers shortened performances (70 minutes in length), which fit perfectly into the school day. Past performances have included adaptations from children’s books, history, and more.

Visit the Charleston Symphony Orchestra with your youth group or have them come to your school. Students will learn about the individual instruments and classical music during Young People’s Concerts, and Q&A with musicians.

The Cherokee County History & Arts Museum has exhibits on all things relating to Cherokee County history – such as Native Americans, colonial life, art, textiles, public service, industry, and much more.

The Children’s Museum of the Upstate is the first of its kind to become a Smithsonian affiliate. The Museum features 19 multidisciplinary exhibits and over 100 activities, offering a visit that is sure to be remembered!

City Roots is South Carolina’s first urban farm, grows good food naturally in the heart of Columbia, while promoting sustainable living through food, education and events.

The Clemson Area African American Museum is a leading museum and cultural-resource center dedicated to African American history and culture. 

Colonial Dorchester State Historic Site give visitors a peek into the early history of colonial South Carolina including archaeological finds.

Treat your students to a unique learning opportunity by bringing your classroom to the Columbia City Ballet! Topics include artistic genres and disciplines, different dance forms, art history, movement. Also Outreach Programs.

Columbia Marionette Theatre tell entertaining and educational stories. Each year the theater puts on shows about world culture, history, fairy tales, and holiday specials for all to see! Field trips and outreach performances available.
