The Wilmington Railroad Museum exhibits the history of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad, scale models, and a full-size steam engine.

Groups will enjoy a day with nature as they tour Wing Haven Gardens & Bird Sanctuary and learn about the birds and other small animals that live there. They’ll hear a story, and learn about the garden’s role as a bird habitat.

At Winterpast Farm, visitors can meet and pet the animals, have a garden activity, learn about planting, and try other activities such as tree identification, arts and crafts, and fun team-building games.

Wise Acres is a family owned u-pick organic strawberry and pumpkin farm just outside of Charlotte. School, homeschool, and summer camp groups visit the farm to learn about farming in a hands-on atmosphere.

Wortham Center for the Performing Arts offers live performances of music, theatre and dance throughout the year by nationally touring artists. Morning matinee series performances are open to school and other youth groups.

The Wright Brothers National Memorial commemorates the first successful, sustained flights of the famous Wright Brothers. See reconstructed camp buildings and other exhibits on their contribution to aviation.

Zing Zumm Children’s Museum of Jacksonville is an interactive, unstructured museum where children, toddler through age ten, can play, create, explore and discover.
