The American Folk Art Museum explores the art of the self-taught, from the 18th century to the present. It attempts to understand folk art through the unconventional paths and experiences of those who create it.

As your group visits Battery Urban Farm’s vegetable farm, forest farm, and oyster restoration stations, they will get hands-on lessons in sustainable farming techniques as well as New York City’s native plants, animals, and insects.

The Center for Architecture shares the ideas and experiences of practicing architects with the public through exhibits and programming. School groups may enjoy hands-on workshops as well as walking tours of New York City.
