At the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center, visitors see the broad range of life that lives in the rivers and reservoirs of Texas while learning about science at the laboratory, aquarium, and educational center. Aquaria are arranged so as to take visitors through examples of different aquatic habitats in Texas, from Hill Country streams to farm ponds to major reservoirs. Teachers and group leaders may choose from among such activities as a wetlands tour, fishing, study of aquatic invertebrates, water quality investigation, fish identification, attending the dive show, tram tour of the production hatchery, self-guided tour of the Visitor Center exhibits and more.
