ABOUT

Jennings Environmental Education Center

Jennings Environmental Education Center is home to a unique 20-acre prairie ecosystem where groups of all ages can learn about the area’s natural habitats and resources. Hands-on programs change with the seasons: in the winter, young learners can strap on snowshoes and track animals through the park, and in March an annual maple sugaring event is open to elementary schoolers. Older students may study the prairie ecosystem, model a watershed, navigate using a map, or learn about the seasonal cycles of native plants and animals. The Center also hosts “scout days” and is open to summer camp and homeschool groups. Check the park’s website prior to visiting for up-to-date trail information, including closures.
