FIELD TRIPS
Since 1981, Manice Education Center has been serving New York City middle-and-high school students, giving them an immersive outdoor experience, learning environmental education concepts and outdoor and team-building skils through experiential activities. Students wil explore STEM concepts, enjoy agroup-wide campfire, and gain appreciation for nature, while having fun in the beautiful Berkshire mountains!
Open for school programs late April through early June and September through October, Manice can provide your class with activities such as forest ecology, ecological succession, macroinvertebrate sampling, challenge course, primitive shelter and fire building, sensory night hikes, and much more!

Christodora, Manice Education Center
The Christodora’s Manice grounds nestled on 200 acres of land, feature an organic garden and greenhouse, chicken coop, and a small pond in the front of our 200 year old farmhouse, which acts as the hub of operations, featuring a dining hall and kitchen, library, and infirmary. New York City school school groups stay overnight in large canvas tent platforms and have access to a bathhouse. The students immerse themselves in outdoor, leadership, and environmental lessons through experiential activities.
