The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia (MOCA GA)

The founding collection of the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia includes a variety of mediums from a bold mixed medium painting by Radcliffe Bailey to the intimate black and white photographs of Harry Callahan. The Museum is now home to over 1,000 works of art with a collection that features paintings, prints, sculpture, photography, installations, and more. Visitors are encouraged to enter the historic building through the largest black canopy where they will find rotating solo and group exhibitions. The lower level is dedicated to the Permanent Collection Exhibition Space and Education/Research Center incorporating the Art Library.

– Vincent Van Gogh created over 2,000 works during his lifetime. However, he was only ever able to sell one of his paintings while he was alive.

– Leonardo Da Vinci was left-handed. He took notes from right-to-left instead of the English language standard left-to-right.

– Pablo Picasso was arrested and questioned regarding the theft of Mona Lisa in 1911. He was released without being charged.
